About Matthew F. McCabe, D.M.D
Dr. McCabe graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology and a minor in Human Rights in 2008, and then went on to the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine; where he received his degree in 2012. He completed externships in both the Hartford Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Center and Comayagua, Honduras. There on a dental service trip in Honduras, along with a team of UConn dental students and several affiliated private practitioners, he helped provide educational instruction and care to the underserved community of Comayagua.
Giving back to the community is very important to Dr. McCabe. Dr. McCabe has been a 4 year participant in the Connecticut Mission of Mercy program, was a student co-director for the South Park Homeless Shelter Dental Clinic, volunteered in the Special Olympics/Special Smiles, Give Kids a smile, the Migrant Farm Workers Clinic and the Inner City Dental Mission. He is also a South Windsor Little League Assistant Baseball Coach.
He is a native resident and member of the community in South Windsor, CT, and has 2 younger brothers.
Dr. McCabe is a currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Hartford Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Out of the office, Dr. McCabe enjoys spending time with his family, coaching and meeting new people. He currently plays on a softball team that includes several of our patients, as well as our own Dr. Boisoneau.
